As promised in our last blog post, here is our closer look at Proverbs 25:2, in regard to our Aleph Tav (את). Granted, this post is not about being a witness of Yeshua but rather, how Eloheim may have hidden references to Him within the pages of His prophet’s writings. Let’s go to Proverbs 25:2 in our e-sword or blueletterbible.org and have a closer look.
For those who are not familiar with either of those bible search engines, your screen will look similar to the photo below when you type in your verse at the top. When your verse comes up, click on the link that I’ve underlined in red.
Once the screen comes up with the breakdown of Hebrew words, we’re going to look even closer at the word for “matter”, or “thing”. Davar (or dabar), so if you will, click on the link that says “H1697” that I have underlined in red below.
The following page will open.
Davar (dabar) is only translated as “thing” 231x’s, compared to “word”, which we see is 807x’s! And “matter” is only 63x’s. In my humble opinion, the translators should have translated “davar” as “word” in Proberbs 25:2 also but they didn’t realize the word “את” was so important. So instead of sticking “et” (את) into all the verses where they occur, even though they are not translatable, they omitted them. Hid them. Took them away from the Word.
You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of YHVH your Eloheim which I command you.Deut 4:2
By now you may be wondering why all this is such a big deal. Well, it is a big deal because Yeshua IS the Word. As John says in his first chapter of his epistle, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. And he also told us that – In the beginning was the word, and the word was with Eloheim and the word was Eloheim! Except that the translators (in ignorance) dropped the word out of our bibles. Every occurrence! BUT, it is the glory of kings to search out a Word! And that is what we are doing!
Throughout the years that I’ve been pulling out stand-alone Alef Tavs, “Et davar” kept coming up in different forms, but the same root (דבר), so I started making a list in my bible for myself.
Do you notice in the photo above how Jeremiah put nine stand-alone Aleph Tav with devar in chapter 36 alone?! It’s the equivalent of Jeremiah screaming – Et is the Words! Below is the page from my bible of Jer 36:9-25, and there are 5 of the 9, as an example.
“Et kol-ha’devarim” (את כל-הדברים) means “Et all the words” or “Alef Tav all the words”!
He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.Rev 19:13
I guess this post did turn out to be a witness of Yeshua, after all. 😇 May you be blessed by these treasures. I’ll leave you with one treasure in Num 12:24 that says – “Et devre YHVH” which means “Et words of YHVH”. There is a video for that one. Linked here: https://youtu.be/YmIdN087bx8
Be blessed and shalom, b’shem Yeshua haMashiach. ❤
P.S. – Leah from Kenya who read my post yesterday, THANK YOU so much! And thank you also for liking it! That was my first “like” ever! You are a sweetheart and I appreciate you! With love from Tennessee. 💕
