and YHVH has laid on Him את the iniquity of us all / Isa 53:6

Has laid on whom? את!

Since I mentioned the “suffering servant” chapter of Isaiah 53 in the last blog, it stands to reason that our single stand-alone Alef Tav in that chapter would be next in our witnesses of Yeshua. 😉 The whole chapter is actually a witness, or prophesy of Yeshua’s first appearance but the hidden highlight is in the middle verse. The whole of verse 6 reads:

Since the whole chapter is about Yeshua I will just post the whole thing for you in case you don’t have access to it, in English and Hebrew. Be blessed and may Adonai give you eyes to see!

Isa 53:1 – ¶Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of YHVH been revealed?

2 – For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.

3 – He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

4 – Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by Eloheim, and afflicted.

5 – But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

6 – All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And YHVH has laid on Him את the iniquity of us all.

7 – He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.

8 – He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.

9 – And they made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.

10 – Yet it pleased YHVH to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of YHVH shall prosper in His hand.

11 – He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.

12 – Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

Isn’t that a beautiful chapter?

Amein!

YHVH has laid on whom the iniquity of us all? The Aleph Tav, our Redeemer, the “salvation of Yah” (which is what “Yeshua” means!) The Father knew from creation that Yeshua would have to come to bear our sins. That He would have to come to be an example for us to follow. Not so that we can see His example and continue in our sins. No! Heaven forbid! He instructs us repeatedly to repent. Sin no more. He will wipe our past sins clean if we repent of them and follow Him! And He even sent the Helper to help us follow Him! The Spirit of Truth. The Father’s Word is Truth!

We also have a verse in Hebrews that points us back to our Isaiah 53:6 verse. It reads:

…”so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.”

Heb 9:28

Shalom, b’shem Yeshua haMashiach

P. S. – If anyone coming here today is unfamiliar with Aleph Tav or is not sure what I’m talking about, please take a step back and look at the first blog I did that lays the foundation of Yeshua being represented all over the older testament by the stand-alone Alef Tav (את). I don’t want you to be lost! The link is here:  https://wp.me/pcgXR4-18

It's not about me, it's about my Father, His holy, unchanging Word, Yeshua made flesh! No ear tickling here. (And maybe a couple of posted recipes that I've been unable to find online elsewhere. 😉)
