Ah!… Deuteronomy, one of my favorite books ever. Moses pulls out all the stops in this final book; knowing too well that these special people, Yah’s segulah, special treasures, will fall away from the Truth after he’s gone. But he pleads nonetheless. He pleads with the Creator and he pleads with his people. He pleads with us. He pleads with you.
Here are some important excerpts from last week’s Torah portion of V’etchanan, Deu 3:23 – 7:11.

The beloved Testimony (the ten commandments) is repeated in this portion. 5:6-21

In Deut 5:8, we have YHVH calling Himself El Kana again: Jealous El. “For I, YHVH Elohecha, El Kana,…”

In Deut 6:15, YHVH stresses yet again that He is El Kana! 15) “(for YHVH Elohecha [is] El Kana among you), lest the anger of YHVH Elohecha be aroused against you and destroy you from the face of the earth.”
Before you start to convince yourself that the El of the older testament is a different El now since Yeshua died on the tree, keep in mind that the earth will be destroyed this time not by water, as before, but by fire. (Isa 66:15 & 16, Zeph 3:8, Luk 12:49 and elsewhere.)

Five times throughout YHVH mentions “fear”.
Fifteen times the word “fire” is mentioned.
As we stated already, YHVH stresses that He is El Kana, a Jealous El three times.
Can you hear Moses’ desperation?
Torah/Yeshua is ALIVE!!
