Holy Spirit, per Yeshua

All throughout my life, I have heard people say, “The Holy Spirit told me…”, or “The Holy Spirit showed me…”. It always made me cringe to hear that. I always doubted it was true, and in the back of my mind I would be thinking – If you’re misrepresenting the Holy Spirit you’re in trouble! And that, for the following reason:

Misrepresenting the Holy Spirit is a serious mistake. For eternity.

It seems most folks are mixed up about what the purpose of the Holy Spirit is also. Let’s look at what Yeshua tells us.

Yeshua tells us it is the Spirit of truth and later links the fact, in John 17:17, that Yah’s word is truth.

"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." ~ Yeshua in John 17:17

So we know from those two facts that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, cannot contradict Torah, Yah’s truth. And Yeshua, the Word made flesh, also cannot contradict the Holy Spirit or Yah’s word. They are all one.

Luke recounts, at the end of his letter, some of the last words of Yeshua, who said:

Some of Yeshua’s last words on earth before He ascended.

I don’t know about you, but I went to a Church of Christ school from kindergarten through 12th grade and attended church all my life and I never once heard this gospel preached that Yeshua gives here. Repentance and remission of sins? I was taught grace, grace, grace. You know, I looked diligently for where Yeshua taught grace and I’ve never found it yet. The Lamb’s Apostles don’t teach it either. I was taught to be one who practices lawlessness. I was lost but was under the impression that I was saved. I didn’t know that I didn’t know.

Read your bible from cover to cover (skipping Paul’s letters) and you will see the truth. Time is short! Go now!

It's not about me, it's about my Father, His holy, unchanging Word, Yeshua made flesh! No ear tickling here. (And maybe a couple of posted recipes that I've been unable to find online elsewhere. 😉)
