In this week’s Torah portion of Vayera (Gen 18:1 – 22:24) we have a confirmation of someone specific being an enemy of Yeshua. This treasure won’t set well with most people but I need to show you nevertheless. Like I sometimes say – No ear-tickling here! 😇
There is a stand-alone Alef Tav in Gen 22:17. Here is the verse with the Aleph Tav reinserted:
We will be honing in on the yellow highlighted bit. With that part in mind, let me take you to Matt 16:18, where Yeshua is saying to Peter:
Take note of the yellow highlighted bit. Firstly, let me ask you, how do gates come against anyone? Gates are stationary. Do we know of anyONE who came against Peter?
The first verse above with the green background speaks of gates of enemies. The second verse where Yeshua is speaking speaks of gates of hades, or hell, or better yet, the Hebrew, sheol, since Yeshua was speaking Hebrew and we all know that sheol is synonymous with hell and hades.
Also, the Genesis verse has a stand-alone Alef Tav right in front of “gates of their enemies” which is like red flashing lights saying, “Look at me! I am referring to Yeshua!”
Ok, to clinch this off, you will need to look up two Strong’s numbers. The first one is H7585. It is the Hebrew word for sheol שאול. The second word you will need to look up is spelled exactly like sheol שאול, but it is H7586.
Now, tie this all together. Let all this sink in. Who was Yeshua warning Peter about but also letting Peter know he would prevail against?
Yeshua is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Him.
