Slippery Serpents

Welcome back friends!

Have you ever taken a close look at the conversation between the serpent and Eve in the garden of Eden? Actually, the serpent tells the truth…kind of.

First off, he baits her into a conversation about the trees. Let’s look at the exchange.

The bait

Eve’s reply:

Nor shall you touch it?

Now, according to the account we have, YHVH never told her not to touch the tree (Gen 2:16, 17), besides, Eve wasn’t even created when YHVH told Adam not to eat it so I guess we can let that little inconsistency of her’s slide. The conversation continues:

The Gotcha

Half of what he says to her is true, and even the lie is half true in that she wouldn’t die immediately. But it’s the broader fruit-of-his-teaching that you need to realize. The fruit of the serpent is that he deceived Eve into disobeying the Father. The repercussions being that she and Adam were not allowed into the Kingdom anymore. The serpent’s fruit is rotten, no matter what percentage of untruth he spun. Any person who’s word’s end result is you disobeying the Father/breaking His commandments is rotten fruit. He allows us to be tested all the time. He even allowed a serpent into the Canon but most don’t recognize his fruit to be rotten. Will you be discerning? Will you recognize the serpent? If so, you are of the elect!

It's not about me, it's about my Father, His holy, unchanging Word, Yeshua made flesh! No ear tickling here. (And maybe a couple of posted recipes that I've been unable to find online elsewhere. 😉)
