If YHVH came to you in a dream and told you that He would give you whatever you desired, what would you ask of Him?
Ponder that for a minute.
Well, that happened to King Solomon. And what did he ask for?
This request pleased YHVH greatly. Here is His reply to Solomon (Shlomo שלמה):

The rest of chapter 3 is the account of the two harlots who had babies. Solomon’s judgment proves that he indeed has been granted wisdom. The text reads:
It seems that the wisdom of Eloheim is not given to everyone. We need to ask for it. Luke ends his namesake book with Yeshua preparing to ascend to the right hand of the Father and Yeshua does something similar for His disciples. Turn to Luke 24:45.
We all need understanding. Maybe it would be worth asking for?
