Prophecy of Yeshua, Still to Be Fulfilled

Welcome back, friend! I pray you are having a blessed day! Our hidden treasure for today is in 2 Kings 8:21, if you’d like to turn there in your bible.

(If you are unfamiliar with the Alef Tav representing Yeshua, see this blog first – or this YouTube video: )

Our verse for today reads (with the unhyphenated Alef Tav reinserted):

We’re going to look closer at “v’ET captains of the chariots”.

You are probably familiar with one of the names for Yeshua, Prince of Peace, or Sar Shalom, in the Hebrew. It comes from a prophecy of Yeshua in Isaiah 9:6. “Sar” can mean “prince”, or, as in this case, “captain”. We have a stand-alone Alef Tav (with a vav) in front of captains of chariots. (Side note: the Hebrew word for chariot is “merkava מרכבה”. The picture meaning of the merkava is the fiery chariot that whisked Elijah away in 2 Kings 2:11. In modern Hebrew, the word merkava means the formidable, feared, Israeli tank!)

Here is v’ET captains of chariots in the Hebrew:

To understand why I’ve likened the vav ו to a flaming sword, see the blog – or the YouTube explanation:

So…we have a picture of Yeshua (with a flaming 🗡️ sword (ו) as one of the captains (or Princes) of a merkava (fiery chariot). Does that picture remind you of any verses? How about Isaiah 66:15?

There is also a connection to Yeshua and chariots in Habakkuk 3:8, but with His name, not the Aleph Tav. Habakkuk 3:8 reads:

YHVH, were You displeased with the rivers,
Was Your anger against the rivers,
Was Your wrath against the sea,
That You rode on Your horses,
Your chariots of salvation?
Hab 3:8

Look at “chariots of salvation”. In the Hebrew, it says:

And since we’re just a few verses away, in Habakkuk 3:13, we have Yeshua and Messiah. That verse reads:

Too much information? 😕

Whew! That is a lot to take in but Yeshua is all over the older testament!! I will leave you to soak all of this up but have a blessed day! Thank you for stopping by! 💕

It's not about me, it's about my Father, His holy, unchanging Word, Yeshua made flesh! No ear tickling here. (And maybe a couple of posted recipes that I've been unable to find online elsewhere. 😉)
