Have you ever considered why the wise Men are called “wise” in Matt 2:1-2? The verses I’m referring to read:
Is it because they came to see Yeshua, the King of the Jews, after He was born? If that were the case, why weren’t the shepherds of Luke 2:16 also called wise?
Could it be that the reason that those men from the east were wise is because they could read the heavens? YHVH tells us in Genesis 1 that He arranged the heavens to help us know His “appointed times”, or moed’im – מועדים.
YHVH gives us the signs (ot’ot) in the heavens so that we can know the appointed times that He will be celebrating and join in! As Yeshua prayed in Matthew 6:10:
Yeshua speaks of signs in the heavens:
We are to be looking for signs in the heavens. We are supposed to be able to read His blueprint that He set forth right above our heads but, to my shame, I was taught early on that trying to read the astronomical signs was a sin. (Who do you think that lie stems from? The enemy loves when we’re ignorant.)
Isn’t it high time we learn to read the signs? They are literally right there above us!
Oh! And about the starting of the new Hebrew months… If the moon is for a sign, and the new moon is the beginning of a new Hebrew month, how is the hidden/dark (conjunction) moon the sign of the new month when it is dark for between 1.5 – 3.5 days? YHVH is not a Creator of confusion. The re-newed month begins with the re-newed moon. When the moon overcomes the darkness. Easy! (Who do you think IS the creator of confusion? The one who loves the dark?)
Just some things to consider.
May HIS Kingdom come. May HIS will be done on earth as it is in heaven!
Shabbat shalom 💕
